Nelly, aka “Yung Swivel,” believes he made the right decision joining ABC’s hit series Dancing with the Stars over The Masked Singer.

In an interview with Billboardthe Country Grammar artist explained how he’s ready to take home the trophy for the show’s 29th season, which he described as “more or less of a challenge” because, he “can’t dance at all.”

So why did he choose to appear on DWTS?  Nelly said he was “asked to go on different reality shows,” but says “I don’t want to sing. I do that for a living. I’d totally be upset if I lost to a housewife rapping or singing.”

“I love The Masked Singer, I love to watch it,” he continues. “But I don’t think it’s for me because I think I would be upset if I lost to somebody who’s not a professional musician, so to speak.”

Nelly recently dropped “Lil Bit.” the first single from his upcoming EP, Heartland. The track features country supergroup Florida Georgia Line, whom he calls “family” ever since they collaborated on the mega-hit remix of the band’s “Cruise” back in 2012.

You can catch Nelly on the next episode of Dancing with the Stars Monday, October 26, at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
