New Destiny’s Child Projects on the Way, According to Mathew Knowles

by

Columbia RecordsDestiny‘s Child hasn’t released a studio album since 2004’s Destiny Fulfilled, but there may be new music on the way, according to their manager, Mathew Knowles.

Knowles revealed to the Huffington Post that he’s “extremely hopeful that the ladies will come back with an album and a tour.” Despite the fact that the group officially disbanded in 2006, Knowles says that he still manages the group, which consists of his daughter Beyonce, Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams.  “I’m hopeful that within the next two to three years we’ll see something major come from it,” he says.

While the details surrounding a reunion album are sparse, Knowles adds that he already has “a few Destiny’s Child projects” in the works. “My second book will be the autobiography of Destiny’s Child,” he says. “I’m talking to the film and TV community right now, regarding a Destiny’s Child movie or TV series of some sort.”

Meanwhile, the members continue to work on their respective solo projects: Beyonce is recording the follow-up to her 2013 self-titled album while Kelly is working on the follow-up to 2013’s Talk a Good Game and Williams’ Journey to Freedom included a song called “Say Yes” on which all three members collaborated last year.
