Photo credit: Myriam SantosSinger Andra Day is giving the masses a reason to “Rise Up.” She’s just released the M. Night Shyamalan-directed visual for her inspirational anthem.
The new video is the second official work to be directed by an acclaimed filmmaker, whose movies include The Sixth Sense. It follows the release of her debut video, “Forever Mine,” directed by Spike Lee.
Andra Day will be featured on the cover of ESSENCE Magazine’s June issue, while the lyrics from “Rise Up” will appear on 40 million Coca-Cola cups in select McDonald’s restaurants across the nation.
