Nick Cannon’s new single Only You is about optimism, empowerment, excellence

by

ABC RadioIn a segment for Fuse’s digital series Behind the Bar, Nick Cannon talks about the premise behind his new single “Only You.”

He says, “I make emotional music. I make feel good vibes. I’m always trying to fly on the right frequency and ‘Only You’ is that.”

Nick continues, “It’s about optimism. It’s about empowerment. It’s about excellence right now. I mean, people are ready to dance. People are ready to feel good and that’s what ‘Only You’ is doing.”

The track, which samples British funk band Hi-Tension‘s 1984 hit “You Make Me Happy,” has guest features from Fat Joe and DJ Luke Nasty

The music video for “Only You,” which recently dropped, shows Nick, Joe and Luke hanging out with beautiful, bikini-clad women at the beach, on a yacht and in the club.

“Only You” is expected to appear on Nick Cannon’s new album, Model Music, scheduled for release this spring.
