Fans who anxiously await new music from Nicki Minaj might soon have a reason to celebrate.
The “Chun-Li” rapper shared a short, spicy video clip on Instagram Tuesday, which may serve as a tease to an upcoming song called “Freaky Girl.”
“He want a F R EEEEEE A K #FreakyGirl,” she wrote in the caption.
What’s heard in the short clip features a sample of Rick James‘ 1981 classic “Super Freak.”
Nicki quickly became a top trending topic on Twitter after releasing the preview. Fans took to the social site to express their excitement.
“BARBZ GET UP We got a new single to promote and push, We taking .@NICKIMINAJ ‘Freaky Girl’ To top 5 on billboard NO EXCEPTIONS,” one user wrote.
Another tweeted, “Nicki Minaj will give you #WeGoUp #DoWeHaveAProblem #Bussin & then turn around & give you #FreakyGirl That’s what you call versatile. She really can do it all.”
As of Wednesday, Nicki has yet to confirm the new single or an official release date.
