Former President Barack Obama criticized the current government’s Coronavirus response in two separate online graduation speeches. In Saturday’s address to graduating high school seniors, Obama panned “grown-ups, including some with fancy titles and important jobs who do what feels good, convenient and easy. That’s how little kids think and that’s why things are so screwed up.” Then at another online event honoring HBCU graduates, Obama said “More than anything, this pandemic has fully and finally torn back the curtain on the idea that so many of the folks in charge know what they’re doing. A lot of them aren’t even pretending to be in charge.”
