“For people who are into numbers, they know what five means,” he tells XXL. “Biblically. It represents grace.” Omarion also says the name has an important meaning to him. “Reasons, it’s a reason why I’m still here. There’s a reason why I’m still creating,” he says. “There’s a reason why I’m motivated by my son. There’s a reason why ‘Post to Be’ went platinum. That’s what the album is about.”

The former B2K member is performing on Chris Brown’s One Hell of a Nite Tour, and he’s returning for the second season of Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood, beginning Monday, September 7. He has a one-year-old  son, Megaa, and he’s becoming accustomed to juggling his career and his family life.

“Now I’m a father, so I have to make time for that,” he says.” Aside from that, having the career that I have in this time. So something is going to have to take some sacrifices. It’s going to be all of those things.”

As Monday’s season premiere of Love & Hip-Hop: Hollywood approaches, Omarion feels appearing on the show been a positive step for his image.

“Definitely. I think that it changed the perspective and the point of view of me, because being a child prodigy and growing up in front of people’s eyes,” he comments. “It’s so hard for people to let go of who they think you’re supposed to be. It’s like, ‘Oh, I remember him from You Got Served,’ or, ‘He was in B2K.’ To be able to give people a different vision of myself without completely going crazy, doing drugs and being weird; I feel like I’ve done a good job.”
