Pharrell, Shaggy, Sting and The Roots to perform at annual Apollo in the Hamptons benefit

ABC/Adam RosePharrell Williams, Shaggy, Sting and The Roots will perform at the annual Apollo in the Hamptons benefit to raise money for New York City’s iconic Apollo Theater.

According to Page Six, Jamie Foxx and rocker Jon Bon Jovi, who regularly attend the star-studded soiree, are also expected to be at the August 11 event, held at the Long Island estate of philanthropist Ronald Perelman.

Last year, Pharrell, Foxx, Alicia Keys, Justin Timberlake, The Roots, and Mavis Staples performed at the Hamptons fundraiser, according to the New York Times. Jennifer Lopez, Alex Rodriguez, andChris Rock were among the guests enjoying the show.

Tables cost up to $250,000, with funds going to the Apollo and its educational programs.  

In June, Bell Biv DeVoe, Salt-N-Pepa, Brandy, and Tony! Toni! Toné performed and helped raise over two million dollars at the 13^th annual Apollo Gala in Harlem.
