Trae Patton/NBCAlthough Pharrell Williams found even more success with his four-season judging stint on The Voice, the record producer believes that there is no reason for him to return to the top-rated TV show anytime soon.
“I think they’re doing fine without me, and I gotta work,” he tells People.
The ten-time Grammy award-winning star is plenty busy these days.
He’s co-producer of the upcoming film drama Hidden Figures, as well as executive producer of the film’s soundtrack. Pharrell is currently promoting the movie, scheduled for a Christmas Day release in limited theaters.
The entertainer also had time for a surprise appearance for middle school student musicians at the Equity Project Charter School in New York City recently.
The children sang two of Williams’ songs from the Hidden Figures soundtrack — “I See a Victory’ and “Runnin’.”
