BERTRAND GUAY/AFP/Getty ImagesTwo people claiming to be heirs to Prince’s estate are protesting being required to take DNA tests.

Brianna Nelson and Victoria Nelson, who claim they are descendants of Prince’s half-brother Duane Nelson Sr., say the tests are not necessary.  According to USA Today, Brianna says she is the daughter of Duane Nelson Sr. Victoria’s legal guardian, Jeannine Halloran, says Victoria is his granddaughter.

Carver County probate judge Kevin Eide previously ordered that all claimants undergo blood and genetic testing to prove their relationship to Prince. Duane Nelson Sr. passed away in 2011. He was the child of Prince’s father, John Nelson, and his second wife, Vivian.

Brianna Nelson and Victoria Nelson filed their claims to Prince’s estate at Carver County District Court in Minnesota. They say they have already offered alternative proof of their legal relationship to Prince.
