Prada chooses Frank Ocean as one of the faces of its Spring/Summer menswear campaign

HuxleyFrank Ocean’s love of Prada is being rewarded as the Italian fashion house has chosen him as one of the faces of its 2020 Spring/Summer Optimist Rhythm menswear campaign.

The two-time Grammy winner appears with Danish film director Nicolas Winding Refn, and actor Austin Butler, who appears in Quentin Tarantino’s Golden Globe winning film, Once Upon a Time…in Hollywood.

“Each embodies a single identity of the Prada man, one aspect, one outlook, multiplied by each image, each definition,” the brand says in a statement. “They are representations of the legion individuals that comprise the collective.”

For the campaign, Ocean interprets the Prada name as an acronym: “Programming Rhythm And Dancing Again.”

After not dropping new music since his cover of “Moon River” in February 2018, Ocean ended 2019 in a flurry, dropping five new tracks in November.

No word yet on when he will release the much anticipated follow-up to his platinum second studio album, Blonde, which dropped in August 2016.
