Quavo to make his feature film debut alongside Robert De Niro in ‘Wash Me in the River’

Morgan Lieberman/FilmMagicMigos rapper Quavo will make his feature film debut in the upcoming movie, Wash Me in the River, alongside veteran actors Robert De Niro, John Malkovich and Jack Huston

According to Variety, Quavo will play Coyote, “a ruthless and heartless drug lord,” in the action thriller, which focuses on a “recovering opioid addict” who is looking to get revenge on Coyote for selling the drugs that resulted in the addict’s lover’s death.

Quavo said fans can expect to see him “doing some stunts and a lot of what you hear from me in my raps” in the Randall Emmett-directed film, which is currently shooting in Puerto Rico.

“I honestly think this movie is going to be one of the greatest to come of this time,” says Quavo in a statement. “The experience was unbelievable for me, with Robert DeNiro and Jack Huston being so down-to-earth and making me feel like family.”

He continued, “This is one of my biggest debuts I’ve ever had, and [I’m] so proud of what we did, and to get to work with Randall, who’s such an amazing guy. I can’t wait to do more films with him.”

Quavo has previously appeared in scripted television series such as Donald Glover‘s Atlanta, ABC’s black-ish, Fox’s Star, HBO’s Ballers and Narcos: Mexico on Netflix.

Randall Emmett has executive-produced films such as 2 Guns, the Escape Plan trilogy, The Irishman,and TV shows like the top-rated Starz series Power.
