Christian LantryDespite the numerous allegations levied against R. Kelly, fans overseas are apparently still interested in seeing the singer perform.
Tuesday via Instagram, the R&B crooner revealed that he would be embarking on the King of R&B tour, with stops in Sri Lanka, Australia and New Zealand.
Kelly, however, did not disclose the actual dates for any of the shows listed — only that the tour would be coming “soon.”
The tour announcement arrives less than a month after the airing of Lifetime’s Surviving R. Kelly, a six-part expose detailing the decades-long history of sexual, physical and mental abuses allegedly carried out by the 12 Play artist.
In the wake of the shocking documentary, Kelly parted ways with his former label home Sony’s RCA Records and is reportedly in the market for a distributor to release his new album.
