Last week saw the release of two R&B projects: R. Kelly‘s The Buffet and August Alsina‘s This Thing Called Life.  Industry forecasters suggest both albums are on pace to debut with modest sales, according to Hits Daily Double.

Kelz is projected to sell between 32,000 to 37,000 including streams for his thirteenth studio effort. Of that, he’s expected to move 28,000 to 33,000 in pure album sales, a significant decrease from 2013’s Black Panties, which opened with 133,000 in sales.

Meanwhile, August is estimated to possibly outsell the self-proclaimed R&B King. The New Orleans singer is expected to bring in 35,000 to 40,000 including streams. The set serves as the follow-up to Alsina’s debut album Testimony, which landed at #2 on the Billboard chart and selling 67,171 during its first week.

The official sales figures will be available Sunday.
