R. Kelly documentary headed to Hulu

by

Randee St. Nicholas/RCA RecordsAnother R. Kelly documentary is reportedly in the works.

Deadline reports that BuzzFeed News and Hulu have joined forces to develop a feature documentary about the troubled R&B singer.

The film will “explore Kelly’s alleged abuse and exploitation of young black women” and is set to be streamed exclusively on Hulu.

Other “key figures” will be featured in the doc as well, the report says.

BuzzFeed News will produce the project, based on reporting they’ve done over the past several years.

Last year, BuzzFeed News released an extensive report focusing claims that Kelly was the leader of a “sex cult” brainwashing young women into sexual slavery.

BuzzFeed News released a second R. Kelly report this May in which two other women accused the superstar of sexual misconduct.

One of the women claimed that Kelly began a relationship with her when she was 17 years old.

As previously reported, Lifetime is developing an as-yet untitled investigative documentary series and movie about R. Kelly.

It will feature survivors and people from Kelly’s “inner circle” coming forward for the first time to share their personal stories about Kelly.

No details as yet about the Lifetime movie.

R. Kelly’s been repeatedly accused of sexual misconduct against young girls over the years.
