R. Kelly, Jennifer Hudson and Nick Cannon are among the entertainers who have contributed to the soundtrack for Spike Lee‘s upcoming film, Chi-Raq.
The project also includes appearances from Kid Ink, Mali Music, Jhene Aiko, as well as local gospel singer Kevon Carter. The Chi-Raq soundtrack will be available December 4, the same day the film hits theaters.
“I’m honored and excited to share with you the great music from CHI-RAQ,” says Spike Lee. “Thank you for listening to the established and brand new artists. Real music folks. Peace and love. Ya-dig? Sho-nuff.”
Hudson also stars in the film, alongside an all-star cast that includes fellow Illinois natives Common and John Cusack, as well as Samuel L. Jackson and Jeremy Piven.
