The Pied Piper tweeted, “@MariahCarey great convo yesterday! Hopefully we can get in the studio SOON.”
Kelly and Carey previously recorded the “Touch My Body” remix in 2008, and “Betcha Gon Know (I Checked)” in 2011.
Both stars are in a holiday mood as they promote Christmas shows. Kelly recently released his 12 Nights of Christmas album, and his 12 Nights of Christmas Holiday Tour kicks off December 2 in Detroit. He’ll perform twelve concerts through December 28 in Atlanta.
On December 5, Carey begins her nine-show, All I Want For Christmas Is You New York City residency at the Beacon Theatre.
