The girlfriend of R. Kelly turned herself into police Wednesday after she allegedly assaulted another of the singer’s ladies, Azriel Clary, at his condo in The Windy City earlier that day.

Savage is due back in court February 6, according to the Chicago Sun-Times.

As previously reported, Savage was arrested Wednesday and charged with domestic battery.

Clary’s mother, Alice Clary, tells People that now her 22-year-old daughter is back with her family.

“The battle is won because she’s still here, she’s still alive, she’s still breathing and though she lost a few years of her life, she’s still here to tell her story,” Alice says. “Because I chose not to keep her secluded in her life, she’s here now and we’re able to say the victory is won because she finally came to her senses.”

“People don’t understand she’s hurt, the mother continued. “This man [Kelly] lied to her for years, and she was doing what she thought a good girlfriend would do because that’s what she thought she was.”

Her husband, Angelo Clary, says he has sympathy for Savage, who he calls Joy.

“These girls been through a traumatizing situation,” he says. “Especially the situation even with Joy, she has been through something. This s*** not a game. She’s been through something. This girl is gonna need help.”

Angelo condemns Kelly for his alleged abuse.

“This is a serious situation for a lot of these young, black women that have been caught in this situation with this man who really took advantage of a bunch of young, black females,” he says.

“This dude f***** these girls up,” Angelo adds, “and that’s the damn truth.”
