Raphael Saadiq launching headline tour starting in July

Mel D. ColeGrammy-winning, Oscar-nominated musician and producer Raphael Saadiq is taking the stage this summer for a U.S. headline tour.   

He’s scheduled to perform seven shows in July, including dates in Chicago, Detroit and New York City.  

The exciting news follows word of Raphael’s fifth solo album, which he’s currently finishing, according to an official statement.   

It’ll be his first full-length release since his disc Stone Rollin’ in 2011.

Saadiq’s more recent production efforts have included working with artists such as Rick Ross and Justin Timberlake and executive-producing Solange‘s critically acclaimed album, A Seat at the Table.   

He also earned his first Academy Award and Golden Globe nominations for co-writing the song “Mighty River” for the soundtrack of Mary J. Blige’s movie Mudbound.

Tickets go on sale Friday, May 4 at 10 am local time.
