Phillip Faraone/Getty Images for REVOLTRay J is firing back at the U.K. newspaper Daily Mail for reporting that he was in “secret talks” with the Trump administration to get a pardon for his friend Marion “Suge” Knight, who’s currently serving 28 years in prison for manslaughter.

In an Instagram post, the “One Wish” singer shared a series of clips of himself speaking on his various business ventures.  However, in his first video, Ray made sure to call out the newspaper.

“Look, Daily Mail, I never had a problem with yall, but yall need to call my team and get stuff confirmed before you just put up any story on your site,” Ray J said in part. “What kind of story did yall just put up? It’s false, it’s not true… and it’s corny.”

Ray also reiterates his frustration in the post’s caption.

“@dailymail pls stop reporting false stories about me! This is the second time y’all trying to pull a stunt like this!,” he writes. “The story you put up is false and corny! I’ve been working very hard building my companies and staying out of BS! If you wanna post a story about me pls make sure it’s true.”

Ray continues, “Im extremely proud of my @rayconglobal team and my @loopelectricmopeds #ScootEBike team! We’ve built these companies from scratch and it’s not an easy task so I will NOT let you sabotage me and ruin my name! I’m working hard for my family!!! The Devil won’t win!!!”

According to the Daily Mail, an “unidentified source” said that Ray was advocating for Knight because he believed the rap label CEO had learned from his past transgressions.

The Daily Mail reportedly hadn’t responded to Ray J’s post as of late Monday morning.
