Roy Rochlin/Getty ImagesRaz B has issued an official statement, following his arrest for a domestic violence charge on Wednesday.

As previously reported, the B2K front man was apprehended by authorities in Minnesota for allegedly assaulting his girlfriend in an undisclosed parking lot area. Authorities of the Hennepin County jail claim Raz choked the young woman, which resulted in his arrest and him being held without bond.

Thursday, Raz took to his Instagram Story to address the incident in which he “takes full responsibility for his actions.”

“The incident comes after a long history of publicly documented trauma for the musician, and difficulties coping with its aftermath,” the lengthy statement begins. “Raz B takes full responsibility for his actions.

“The incident represents a turning point after years of isolation, repressed emotions, and unhealthy coping mechanisms in response to childhood trauma.”

The statement goes on further to claim that the singer will be seeking treatment “to become a better man and grow beyond the pain of his worse mistakes.”

Raz has also requested that his fans offer “support and privacy” as he begins his journey towards healing. He also claims that B2K’s current Millennium Tour has served as a catalyst in forcing “deep-seeded issues to resurface.”

“Raz B apologizes to his family, his fans, and most importantly his group mates of B2K — who he considers his brothers and never intended to disappoint in this way,” the statement concludes.
