Report: Future Says Ciara’s Lawsuit Has No Merit

Earlier this week, Ciara filed a $15 million lawsuit against her ex-fiance, Future, in an effort to prevent him from publicly disrespecting her. Now it seems the rapper is claiming her suit won’t hold up in court.

TMZ reports sources close to Future tell them the rapper believes Ciara has no chance of winning her defamation lawsuit, and claims she’s publicly bashed him as well. Future points to the singer’s platinum-selling hit, “I Bet,” in which Ciara insinuates he cheated on her, with lyrics like: “You know that it hurts your pride but you thought the grass was greener on the other side. I bet you start loving me as soon as I start loving someone else. Somebody better than you.”

While sources add that Future is considering filing his own lawsuit against her, Ciara is seeking all negative tweets to be removed, and that Future be banned from airing their private affairs online.
