Report: Judge Grants Ciara and Future Joint Custody of Son

by

Antonio de Moraes Barros Filho/WireImageCiara’s request for sole custody of her son was denied, and now she must share joint custody with the baby’s father, Future, according to a report.

TMZ reports that a Los Angeles judge made the ruling Monday regarding the couple’s son, named after his father. The baby will turn two years old on Thursday. Future requested that they share parental responsibility, and the decision was made in his favor, despite Ciara’s contention that the rapper was an absentee father.

However, the war between the parents continues with a $115 million defamation lawsuit Ciara filed against Future in February. She claims he criticized her ability to properly raise their child and also her relationship with Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson, as a publicity stunt to promote his career.
