Kim Kardashian has reportedly requested to be granted a divorce from Kanye West — without her estranged husband’s approval.

Radar Online reports that her lawyer, Laura Wasser, made the motion in court because Kim claims that Kanye has been served with the divorce papers and has not responded.

The motion reportedly reads: “[Kanye] and I both deserve the opportunity to build new lives. Therefore, I am asking that my request to bifurcate and terminate our marital status be granted. I have requested several times that [Kanye] agree to bifurcate and terminate our marital status. [He] has not responded to my request…I have been attempting to settle our dissolution with [Kanye] since I filed for divorce in February 2021.”

Kim added, “No counseling or reconciliation effort will be of any value at this time.”

In December, the star of Hulu’s The Kardashians reality show submitted a formal request to a judge asking to be declared legally single amid pending divorce.  Since then, West has repeatedly asked Kim to come back to him, and recently attacked Kim’s current boyfriend, Pete Davidson, on social media. Over the weekend, in posts that have since been deleted, Kanye claimed on Instagram that Hulu is using Pete to keep Kim away from him.  Then on Tuesday, Ye apologized.

“I’m working on my communication. I can benefit from a team of creative professionals, organizers, mobilizers and community leaders,” West wrote. “Thank everybody for supporting me. I know sharing screen shots was jarring and came off as harassing Kim. I take accountability. I’m still learning in real time. I don’t have all the answers.”
