Report: R. Kelly investigation allegedly uncovers more than 20 illicit sex tapes with minors

by

Melissa BenderNew details have emerged in R. Kelly‘s latest arrest on federal sex crime charges, TMZ has learned.

According to the outlet, investigators in the Northern District of Illinois have uncovered more than 20 videos  featuring the embattled singer engaging in sexual acts with multiple underage victims. The archived footage was allegedly handed over to federal prosecutors by members of Kelly’s inner circle, including former employees.

Gerald Griggs, a member of the legal team for alleged victim Jocelyn Savage‘s family, tells TMZ that the explicit videos were allegedly enough evidence for federal authorities to secure an indictment against Kelly on a number of charges, including child pornography.

As previously reported, the 12 Play artist was arrested last week in Chicago on a 13-count indictment that includes charges of sexual exploitation of children and obstruction of justice, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Chicago.

In addition, Kelly is facing a separate indictment in New York, charging him with one count of racketeering and four counts of violating the Mann Act, which prohibits transporting people across state lines for the purpose of prostitution.

The 52-year-old singer has continued to maintain innocence, pleading not guilty to all charges.
