Getty Images via ABCRihanna wants you to stop creating fake beef between her and Beyoncé, as she recently told a fan on Instagram following in a now-deleted message, apparently captured by The Shade Room.

On Instagram a fan wrote, “Congrats and all to @badgalriri and all for her 8 Grammy nods but tbh f*** them because they snubbed her for Song of the Year and Album of the Year.”

Then continued, “I think they didn’t want her tied or passing someone else *cough cough*,” adding a lemon emoji as an apparent reference to Beyoncé’s Lemonade album, which was nominated for Album of the Year and whose “Formation” was nominated for song of the year, among Bey’s nine Grammy nods, to Rihanna’s eight.

Rih responded to the fan, writing, “This is just unnecessary! I wish y’all would drop this topic and see things from the bigger picture! We don’t need to be putting black women against each other! We deserve to be celebrated, and the Grammy Academy agrees!”

The singer’s eight Grammy nods include Record of the Year, Song of the Year and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for “Work.”
