Report: Tamar Braxton left in the middle of Redemption of a Dogg musical in D.C. because her food had not arrived

ABC/Adam TaylorTamar Braxton did not return for the second act of Snoop Dogg’s Redemption of a Dogg musical Sunday afternoon Washington, D,C., and reportedly she left because her food had not arrived, according to DailyMail.com.

A source told the Daily Mail that the 41-year old singer left at intermission because a friend that was delivering her food was denied entry by security.

Tamar has been touring across the country in the musical, and after she performed in the first act, another actress replaced her for the second act, The Washington Post reports.

When the performance ended, the play’s writer/director, Je’Caryous Johnson, told the crowd that Braxton “had a brief emergency and couldn’t do the curtain call.”

‘Please, it’s important that we pray for her, this is a very vulnerable time so please just pray for her,” Johnson added. “She’s sorry she couldn’t be here for this curtain call, but she did get a chance to be here for you and she did the best she could.”

A second show was performed Sunday night, and producers placed signs at the box office reading, “Due to unforeseen circumstances Tamar Braxton will not star in tonight’s show.”

The Redemption of a Dogg tour resumes tonight in Los Angeles. Tamar commented on Instagram that she will be back on stage.
