Tommy Garcia/BravoAhead of the season return of Real Housewives of Atlanta Sunday, Porsha Williams is opening up about her relationship with fiancé Dennis McKinley after his alleged cheating.
In an interview with Us Weekly, Williams says she and McKinley are trying to work it out.
“We’re happy and we’re raising our daughter together,” the reality star told the magazine. “It’s been a long road, one we’re still on. We’re going day by day rebuilding our relationship and making sure our foundation is where we want it to be to have a strong family.”
Williams first went pubic with her relationship last June. A few months later, she revealed she was pregnant with the couple’s first child, Pilar Jhena. Even though the couple had a stunning engagement event in January in front of friends and family, their relationship took a turn for the worse after McKinley was rumored to have cheated on Williams in May.
Not surprisingly, the couple’s ongoing drama and eventual split in June was all filmed as a part of this upcoming season of RHOA.
“Fans will see everything,” Porsha says. “I think fans like the fact that I’ve always been very honest and transparent, and I definitely had to just dig in and continue to be that way, even though I was going through a hard time.”
“Fans will see us in counseling and will see me dealing with real life,” she continues. “A lot of what a lot of people deal with in relationships, they’re going to see on TV — the good and the bad and the ugly.”
The Real Housewives of Atlanta returns Sunday night at 8 p.m. ET on Bravo.
