Beyonce and Rihanna have been nominated for Best International Act at this year’s MTV Africa Music Awards.
The network has announced the powerhouses will compete against Big Sean, Chris Brown, and Nicki Minaj in the category, which was first introduced in 2010. The winner will be chosen by votes from music fans via MAMA.MTV.com.
The event will take place at the Durban International Convention Centre on July 18. The even also will include a showcase from Ne-Yo, which will be his first performance in the South African city.
The MTV Africa Music Awards will air globally on MTV channels on August 27.
