ABC/Lou RoccoRihanna has a new acting gig. The singer has joined the cast of the sci-fi epic Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets, director Luc Besson confirms on his Instagram account.
“RIHANNA is in VALERIAN!!!!!….and she has a big part!! I’m Sooo excited!!!” he writes.
She joins a cast that so far includes actor Dane DeHaan and model/actress/Taylor Swift pal Cara Delevingne. According to Variety, filming begins in France in January and the movie is expected to hit theaters on July 21, 2017.
Rihanna previously starred in the 2012 movie Battleship, and voiced a character in the animated movie Home.
