RiRi teased the Rihanna Navy with an Instagram video of herself, set up in a recording studio wearing headphones and wearing huge white-framed sunglasses.
In June, the Ocean’s Eight star said on BBC America’s The Graham Norton Show, “I actually am in the studio and working on new music.” When asked when the tracks will be released, the “Diamonds” singer responded, “You just have to wait and see.”
The nine-time Grammy Award winner’s most recent solo album was 2016’s Anti. Last year, she was featured on DJ Khaled’s triple platinum single “Wild Thoughts” with Bryson Tiller, as well as “Loyalty,” on Kendrick Lamar’s Pulitzer Prize-winning album DAMN. and “Lemon,” on N.E.R.D.’s No One Ever Really Dies album.
Last week, Rihanna announced that she’ll present her Savage x Fenty lingerie show on September 12 in Brooklyn for New York Fashion Week. The following day, September 13, she will host her annual Diamond Ball charity gala in Manhattan featuring Donald Glover and Issa Rae.
Rihanna has also been spotted recently in Cuba with Glover; the two are reportedly working on a new film titled Guava Island.
