Rita Ora Named New Host of America’s Next Top Model

by

ABC/Randy HolmesRita Ora has been tapped to host the revived version of America’s Next Top Model.

She spoke about her new role on the VH1 competition with USA Today, which broke the news.

“The approach I wanted to have as a host and judge to the girls is what my career stands for at this moment in time, which is being a businesswoman and being able to do multiple things at the same time, whether it’s music or shooting (magazine covers) and being in movies and designing clothes,” Ora says.

Ora steps in for Tyra Banks, who remains as executive producer. The singer has reality TV experience — she was a judge on the U.K.’s versions of The Voice and The X Factor

America’s Next Top Model moves to VH1 this fall after 22 seasons on UPN and the CW, which cancelled the show last December. The new judges, according to USA Today, are model Ashley Graham; Drew Elliott, the chief creative officer of Paper magazine; and stylist Law Roach.

In the same USA Today interview, Ora, who split from Jay Z‘s Roc Nation and signed with Atlantic Records this year, mentions that she’s working on a new album.
