Robin Thicke has made his first appearance since news broke that he and his wife Paula Patton have officially separated. TMZ photogs caught the crooner arriving in Washington D.C. Thursday afternoon and he surprisingly shared that he’s still fighting for his marriage.
When asked if he’s still optimistic about a reconciliation, Thicke smiled and stated, “You know, I’m just trying to get her back.”
He adds that he’s “just trying to figure it out” when the paparazzi quizzed whether or not he’s focused on his music. At one point the paps asked if his raunchy MTV VMA performance with Miley Cyrus caused the split, to which Robin quickly replies, “No.”
The crooner was en route to the kick off his Blurred Lines North American tour inside the Patriot Center. He told the cameraman that concertgoers can still expect a high energy performance.
Patton was spotted by E! Online at Los Angeles International Airport on Wednesday without her wedding ring.
Meanwhile, Patton’s mother and assistant, and Patton and Thicke’s 3-year-old son Julian were involved in a minor car accident. According to Entertainment Tonight, the incident occurred on Sunset Boulevard in Los Angeles, CA while the three were in Patton’s black Range Rover. Luckily no injuries were reported.
