Ruben Studdard has been tapped to performed during the 2013 Women’s Image Awards, an annual event for the Women’s Image Network, or WIN.
The American Idol winner will showcase two songs alongside noted producer David Foster, who contributed to Studdard’s upcoming album, due out in February 2014 via Foster’s Verve Records label.
“We are honored to have these two masterful musical guests,” says WIN founder Phyllis Stuart. “David Foster, who is both a 16-time Grammy Award winner and an inspiring humanitarian, has invited his friend and Verve label artist, American Idol winner Ruben Studdard, to join him and perform two songs. The WIN Awards 2013 will celebrate dozens of entertainment professionals whose talent and aesthetic advance gender parity with dimensional female media images.”
Queen Latifah, Mary J. Blige, Oprah Winfrey and Kerry Washington are among those nominated for this year’s ceremony.
The 2013 Women’s Image Awards takes place December 11 inside the Santa Monica Bay Woman’s Club.
