Ryan Leslie wants to help lead artists to a successful music career by launching his own record label. The crooner confirmed on Twitter that his label will be the “first of its kind” and he’s looking to expand the roster.
“97% of all albums released in a year sell less than 1000 copies. Be on my new label and be part of the top 3%,” Leslie wrote. “Every artist on my new label will learn the tools to understand where the real sustainable business model is in music & entertainment.”
He also gave free advice for his Twitter followers on how to make money online. “To make $100K in a yr from YouTube, u would need to have 1MM subscribers and release 20 videos/week,” the Harvard graduate wrote.
Leslie will launch his record label on July 4.
