The ICY queen took to Twitter Friday to share the shocking news, after breakup rumors surfaced earlier this week.
“I’m single,” Saweetie confirms. “I’ve endured too much betrayal and hurt behind the scenes for a false narrative to be circulating that degrades my character. Presents don’t band aid scars and the love isn’t real when the intimacy is given to other women.”
“I emotionally checked out a long time ago and have walked away with a deep sense of peace and freedom. Excited for this new chapter of elevation,” she continues in another tweet.
Fans believe Saweetie was suggesting that Quavo cheated on her, which prompted dozens of supportive messages, and questions from others.
“I knew he was cheating. Sending you love and strength girl,” tweeted one fan, while another wrote, “Damn Quavo how you [mess] that up.”
Meanwhile another said, “You can be as fine as Saweetie and they still cheat.”
Fans are unsure what exactly caused the breakup, but many believe it had a lot to do with her Wednesday appearance on Revolt’s show, Respectfully Justin, with Justin Laboy and her ex, Justin Combs.
Saweetie was a bit flirtatious during the show and made several remarks, such as “I don’t like liars,” and “when [men] mess up, you have to put them on ice.”
After the episode aired, multiple outlets reported Saweetie and Quavo had unfollowed each other on Instagram, where Quavo originally slid into her DM’s in 2018 with his now-famous pickup line, “You so icy, I’m a glacier boy.”
