Snoop Dogg’s Bible of Love debuts at #1 on Billboard gospel chart

Photo Courtesy of Snoop DoggSnoop Dogg‘s first-ever gospel album, Bible of Love, has debuted at number one on Billboard‘s Top Gospel Albums chart.  

The celebrated rapper credits his late grandmother, Dorothy Tate, for introducing him to gospel music and inspiring him to release a gospel album of his own. 

As previously reported, Snoop told ABC Radio that he wanted to put together his own bible, in the form of the album, “based on love, that’s just all about love.”

He also stated that with Bible of Love will teach listeners “how to love and just be all about love.” 

Bible of Love features a slew of guest artists, including Patti LaBelleFaith EvansCharlie WilsonTye Tribbett and Marvin Sapp.   

Snoop Dogg will perform music from the disc at the 33rd Annual Stellar Awards premiering on TV One Friday, March 30 at 9 p.m. ET.
