Carlota GuerreroLady Gaga may be this year’s Super Bowl 51 halftime headlining act, but anyone headed to Houston this week is in for a handful of other exciting performances leading up to Sunday’s major football event.
On Thursday, Solange performs in her hometown in downtown Houston’s Discovery Green during their Super Bowl LIVE! series, with Lizzo also expected to appear for her own separate set.
Tickets for both shows, and others in the series, are free.
Friday’s schedule promises to usher in more big names: Houston native Lecrae, along with CeCe Winans and Yolanda Adams will perform at Lakewood Church for the Super Bowl Gospel Celebration. Ticket prices range between $25- $75.
Ludacris and Big Boi aim to bring a bit their brand of Atlanta hip-hop to Houston’s Fun-Plex Amusement Park for their ATL Invasion Concert, while Snoop Dogg plans to moonlight as a DJ for the night at the Proof Rooftop Lounge.
In addition, French Montana and “special guests” will “pop that” and ball out for their One Night Only fete at The Address Ultra Lounge.
On Saturday, Travis Scott and DJ Khaled team up for the 2017 Maxim Party. Tickets include admission, food and entertainment.
Lil Wayne, along with some soon-to-be announced celebrity friends, also will be in town to celebrate this year’s Super Bowl with his “Undisputed Super Party.”
And on the big game day, French is back for more partying, but this time with Amber Rose kicking off their own celebratory soiree at Proof Rooftop. General admission tickets for the event are priced at $50.
