Solange to receive honor at 70th Parsons School of Design benefit

Miranda McdonaldGrammy winner Solange will be honored at this year’s 70th annual Parsons Benefit in New York City.   

The benefit is organized by the Parsons School of Design, a college within New York’s New School, is currently ranked as the best art and design school in the country.  

The New School made the announcement on its Instagram account Monday, writing, “Solange. Marco Bizzarri, CEO of Gucci. José Neves, CEO and Founder of Farfetch.”

“It is our great pleasure to honor these pioneers of fashion, entrepreneurship, technology, sustainability, and entertainment at the 70th Annual #ParsonsBenefits on May 21st.” 

The 70th annual Parsons Benefit will take place at Pier Sixty in New York City. 

The special event was created to raise scholarship money for New School students while also honoring individuals within the greater design and performance community. 

Past honorees include RihannaSex and the City actress Sarah Jessica Parker and Huffington Post co-founder Arianna Huffington.
