Solange turns A Seat at the Table into an art piece at NYC’s Guggenheim Museum

by

Columbia Records/Carlota GuerreroSolange delivered a unique performance — complete with interpretive dance movements and experimental musical arrangements — of her 2016 hit album A Seat at the Table at New York City’s Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum this Thursday.

The singer shared pictures and videos of rehearsals leading up to two sold-out shows, dubbed “An Ode to,” and of the event itself, which was part of the annual Red Bull Music Academy Festival

In the museum’s rotunda, Solange presented original and re-imagined versions of songs featured on A Seat at the Table. She also praised everyone who attended and all parties involved in helping to make the magical show come to life.

She writes, “I am still seeing your faces and I’m and fulllll gratitude abundance. Thank you so much to @rbma and the @guggenheim for all your work on bringing this piece to life.”
