Solo Season: Solange takes over BlackPlanet, sparks rumors of a new album

by

Columbia Records/Carlota GuerreroSolange season is evidently underway.

Tuesday, the “Cranes In the Sky” singer took to social media to hint at the arrival of new music by sharing her custom-made profile on BlackPlanet, an online networking platform that dates back to 1999.

“Find me on black planet,” Solange captioned a video montage of her profile page. “Black planet 4 evaaa.”

The website includes an array of photos and silent video footage, which fans have already determined are previews of what’s to come with the arrival of the Grammy-winning vocalist’s next project.  The profile also features cryptic quotes as well as a dedicated page listing the singer’s upcoming European concerts.

Late last year, Solange confirmed that she was prepping a follow up to 2016’s A Seat At The Table. Speaking with The New York Times, the singer described her forthcoming effort as “warm, fluid, and more sensual,” and said that the project’s release would take place “at some mysterious and unexpected moment.”
