Starbucks Reveals New Operations Plan

by

Today employees of Starbucks received a letter from their CEO on how the chain will transition to re-opening their stores across the country. The plan, which is described as a “monitor and adapt” concept will be based on the way China bounced back after the coronavirus pandemic. In the letter, Johnson says the customer experience at stores will shift to some being drive-thru only, others will focus on mobile orders, and other stores will reopen for to-go ordering. The company says they’ve tested the formula in 300 stores across the U.S. The plan is to re-open more stores by May 4. The $3 additional “service pay” for employees will continue through the end of May.

Do you think that May is too early for Starbucks to re-open?
