Streams of NWA’s ‘**** tha Police’ Are Up 272 Percent Amid Global Protests In the wake of worldwide protests against police brutality, songs aimed at police and racist ideology are spiking with streams. NWA’s “F___ the Police,” say streaming numbers were up over 270 percent following the death of George Floyd at the hands of a Minneapolis police officer. Within two days, (May 31st and June 1st) the track garnered 765,000 streams. Other anti-police, anti-racist songs showing upwards streaming numbers were Childish Gambino’s ‘This Is America,’ up 149 percent, Kendrick Lamar’s ‘Alright,’ up 71 percent, and Public Enemy’s ‘Fight The Power,’ streams were up 89 percent.
