Surprise, Surprise… It’s #44!!

by

It was quite a surprise for a group of kids attending an after school program in D.C. Thursday.  Dozens of kids were at the Washington Nationals Youth Baseball Academy when low-and-behold,  former Commander-in-Chief, #44 showed up out of the blue.

The kids were elated to see former President Barack Obama show up on the baseball field where the children were playing.

One young boy ran from the field yelling,Barack Obama … Barack Obama!!

The former president was greeted with hugs and cheers.

He took time to play a little softball with the kids and played catch and served up some encouraging words to the kids.

“If you work hard and listen to your coaches . . . I’m going be on the lookout for you,” Obama said. “You’re going to do something important. You’re going to make a real difference, and we’re going to be proud of you.”

The academy is operated by city’s baseball team.
