Tamar Braxton Clears Up The Real Shade: I Was Only Joking

by

Ethan Miller/Getty Images Tamar Braxton is taking to social media to defend the recent comments she made about her former show, The Real, saying she was “only joking.”

After the singer released a promo video of her appearance on T.D. Jakes, where she poked fun at the reported ratings slump of The Real, Braxton is now offering an explanation on her alleged shade.

“This is my answer… I was only joking ….which I guess is the OLD word for shade,” Braxton captioned her Instagram video, in which she said she would have to pray for her return to The Real since she felt God removed her from the situation.

“Like that’s not what I would normally do…FYI… don’t wish ANYONE harm, bad luck, or cancellations, but I truly wish the girls, AND The Real good luck and may God smile upon you!” she adds.

The Braxtons Family Values reality star then added, “NOW… Can we put the ‘so called feud’ to rest?? ya!! I’m not sitting at home crying… God is GOOD thanks @bishopjakes and @tdjakesshowfor having our family and being helpful and amazing to us as u always are.”

As an end note, Braxton also expressed her disappointment with those who took offense at Bishop T.D. Jakes‘ line of questioning.

“It HURTS my heart that people would call you a liar and or messy!!!..u are an AMAZING person, father, talk show host and Bishop and it’s not FAIR that people are trying to tarnish the man of God that you TRULY are over a tv show..,” she wrote.
