Dealing with a divorce while in the public eye is no easy feat. But Tamar Braxton appears to be doing “just fine” with a new man on her arm since separating from former spouse Vince Herbert.
In a new Braxton Family Values clip, the singer opens up about her 2017 divorce from Herbert and even dishes on the newfound romance currently in her life.
“I wasn’t just divorcing my husband, I was divorcing my best friend,” Braxton tells a friend over lunch in the preview clip.
She continues, “Vince is not my friend, but somebody I respect. But because there’s been so many blurred lines in the relationship, the only alternative that I had was to separate the relationship from the business, and if we’re going to be divorced, we’re gonna live separate lives.”
“I have to let him live his life like he has to let me live my life,” Tamar adds.
While Braxton could “never in a million years” imagine she’d divorce the father of her five-year-old son, Logan, she is certainly happy where she is now. According to the reality star, her new beau is quite a sight to see.
“He’s Nigerian and he’s wonderful and beautiful and amazing and he smells good and he’s like a snack and he’s chocolate…so I’m doing just fine with my new ride,” Braxton shares gleefully.
While Tamar’s been famously private about her new guy and his identity, she’s said similar things to Wendy Williams about how great he is, including describing him as a “whole snack, a Lunchable.”
Braxton Family Values season seven premieres Thursday at 9 p.m. on WeTV.
