Chris Brown has big things planned for this Sunday’s BET Awards performance, according to his close friend Tank.
“We’re getting ready to see him get back on stage at the BET Awards,” Tank told Rap-Up at the ASCAP Rhythm & Soul Music Awards in Beverly Hills on Thursday. “I’m super excited about that. He’s got some new material that is really going to floor everybody.”
Tank remained mum on the details of Brown’s showcase. “I’ve been kinda staying away from it ’cause I wanna be that guy in the audience that’s a real fan and really appreciate it for what it is. I’ll be sitting there waiting with my eyes open,” Tank says.
The R&B veteran also revealed that he’s had an advance listen to Brown’s long-awaited X album. “All I can say is he hasn’t lost his step. He’s only gotten better. This kid is amazing. He just keeps getting better,” he says.
Fans can catch Brown performing at the BET Awards Sunday, June 29 at 8 p.m. ET on BET.
