TEXAS JUDGES LOSE TO BAN ON INMATE RELEASES DURING COVID-19

While the cases for the Coronavirus increases around the world, so does the number of inmates infected in prison. A group of Houston judges sued Texas Governor Greg Abbott’s order of releasing inmates charged with no violent crimes. Since then the Federal Bureau of Prisons have released thousands of inmates from custody. Texas Commission on Jail Standards has already decided on the release of inmates with nonviolent misdemeanor arrestees.
