Def Jam RecordingsThe new year is off to a great start for 2020’s Video Director of the Year Teyana Taylor and her husband, NBA star Iman Shumpert. Over the weekend, the couple celebrated the birth of their second daughter, Rue Rose.
“Big mama is already five months. Time is flying yall. Love you Rueskii,” wrote Taylor on Instagram Saturday, sharing a photo of their baby girl.
Iman shared the same image within a collage of photos of their family, including the couple’s five-year-old daughter, Iman Tayla Shumpert Jr., also known as “Junie.”
“My heart beats with reason. Fore I love harder than I’m suppose to. Everything I do is for them,” wrote Iman.
Aside from celebrating their daughters, Teyana and Iman have their own celebratory moments, including their five-year marriage. Teyana released her third project, THE ALBUM, last June to follow-up her 2018 album, K.T.S.E. Last month, the Harlem songstress announced her Atlanta production studio, Aunties 360, and unleashed her first collection as Creative Director of Pretty Little Things.
As for Iman, the veteran free-agent guard recently signed on to play for the Brooklyn Nets. Iman, who previously played for the Nets in 2019, won an NBA Championship with the Cleveland Cavaliers in 2016.
“Congrats my love! You worked ya [butt] off for this moment! You kept running the marathon even when they thought ya race was over LOCK IN! @imanshumpert,” tweeted Teyana with a heart emoji.
