Image courtesy Republic RecordsThe Weeknd leads all artists with six nominations for Canada’s 2015 MuchMusic Video Awards, their equivalent of the MTV VMAs.
The singer is up for Video of the Year for “Often,” as well as Most Buzzworthy Canadian artist for his hit track, “Earned It,” which is also nominated for Fan Fave Video of the Year.
Last week, organizers confirmed The Weeknd was scheduled to perform during the June 21 MMVA show. Viewers will also see performances from “Jealous” hit-maker Nick Jonas, pop singer Jason Derulo, and the ceremony’s co-host, Ed Sheeran.
